Amebo ward: A ward that is in political tussle with the governor.

In the history of Ibagwa aka, Ibagwa aka has always been in the good page of every sitting governor as Ibagwa aka do benefit from the governor in one way or the other until recently a ward in Ibagwa aka because of the selfless Interest started muscling against the governor and this made me to ask, does an ant fight against a lion?

On 3rd January, 2022 Igbo Eze South LGA PDP went on a consultational visit to the governor in respect to who to elect or emerge in the forthcoming local council election and the ward councilorship election. His Excellency gave a directive which is in line with the party's Constitution that any one holding an executive position in the ward leadership should resign before contesting for public office and any one contesting as a counselor that is not residing in his constituency should drop his/her ambition as PDP as a party will not tolerate it. He gave an instance that any one residing in Nsukka town should not contest in Ibagwa aka.

Knowing this, PDP Amebo  ward deliberately ignored the governor and went ahead to state categorically that any person can contest. Then, I may ask, if PDP Amebo ward is not willing to obey the governor, why consulting him in the first instance? Why are they opposing the governor? Why are they undermining our governor? These questions are begging for answers.

Amebo ward at the instance of the Ward chairman, Chief Ugwuoke Emmanuel went ahead to elect someone living in Abuja that only returned because of the election; who also is holding an executive position in the ward as the youth leader in the person of Ugwu Dennis.

Amebo ward is hereby advised to retrace their step,  and declare the second runner up of the election the winner in the person of Uche, Tochukwu Israel in other to avoid a bigger political distrust and conflict with the governor.
